About Us

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

God is so passionate about each one of us; He’s bigger, better and closer than we could ever imagine.

The Bible is the perfect guidebook for living life.

Jesus is God clothing himself in humanity so we can see Him.

God lives in and through us now by the Holy Spirit and wants us to be filled to overflowing with His presence.

Nothing we see around is an accident. God created it all.

We could never do enough good things to have a relationship with God. Grace is the only way to step into a relationship with Him.

Trusting and relying solely upon God is the only way we grow in our relationship with Him.

With God we win, all other options lead to failure. God has allowed evil to provide us with two choices. If we choose Him we receive over-the-top life.

God, He can bring good even out of evil events and He tells us in the Bible that there is victory for those who choose Him. The other option isn’t so good.

Death is a beginning not an end. The beginning of the rest of your life will be in one of two very real places, heaven or hell.

The church is God’s family and He wants the church to do as He did, to serve people just as He did.

Jesus is very real and He is coming back.

Where we come from

Pastors Trey and Hope Jones moved to Macon from Virginia Beach, Va. in 1999. They came with little money and having only met 2 people in Middle Georgia to start this church from scratch.

They initially named the church South Bibb Community Church and began by meeting in a renovated barn and later a community center. After some time, they had gathered a few people and began Sunday morning services in a daycare center. In October of 2000, SBCC had it's Grand Opening at Windsor Academy. The church met there for 6 years in an un-air-conditioned school gym.

There were many changes in those 6 years. The identity of Pastors Trey and Hope became clearer after they established a relationship with Bishops Tony and Kathy Miller who became major voices in their lives. Bishops Tony and Kathy serve as spiritual parents and Pastors in Pastors Trey and Hope’s lives as well as Life Church.

Pastors Trey and Hope then began to discover the kind of spiritual leaders God had called them to be, and the kind of church He wanted. As they grew in confidence and focus, the church went through many seasons of change and transition. It was during this season the church's name changed to Life Center.

Pastor Trey Jones

Life Center moved into it's first permanent facility in January of 2007, and a new season started of radical transformation in the lives of people. In the summer of 2017, the vision of the church began to become even more defined. The vision of the church became to be a place "Where Life Becomes More." As that vision continued to unfold into 2019, Pastor Trey realized the need to make another shift and change the name from Life Center to simply Life Church. The vision of Life Church was still to be a place "Where Life Becomes More".

Where we're headed

It has always been in the hearts of Pastors Trey and Hope that Life Church live as a vibrant and powerful church that God uses to revitalize the spiritual climate of it's community and region.

Life Church must be a place where people experience the presence and power of God and are empowered to live the life God has destined for them. When people connect to God's heart and connect to God's house - Life Becomes More!

Life Church’s history is still being written, and there is a place in it for YOU!

What We Believe

God is so passionate about each one of us; He’s bigger, better and closer than we could ever imagine.

The Bible is God's perfect guidebook for living life.

Jesus is God clothing himself in humanity so we can see God.

Jesus was born of a virgin; lived a perfect life; died on the cross so we can be forgiven as sinners and be reconciled to God through Jesus' sacrifice; He was buried; He rose from the dead victorious over all of the works of hell; ascended into heaven and released the Holy Spirit to live in each believer.

God lives in and through us now by the Holy Spirit and wants us to be filled to overflowing with His presence and operating in His gifts.

Nothing we see around is an accident. God created it all.

We could never do enough good things to have a relationship with God. Grace is the only way to step into a relationship with Him.

Trusting and relying solely upon God is the only way we grow in our relationship with Him.
